American Red Cross encourages families to be prepared for
emergencies
Nyack, NY, February 3, 2004…Putnam County American Red Cross
Disaster Action Team volunteers are providing emergency
support to two families displaced by a fire which ripped
through their home on Brewster Avenue in Carmel late this
afternoon. Red Cross Disaster Action Team members arrived at
the scene immediately and quickly provided comfort and
registered the two families for Red Cross assistance such as
food, clothing and temporary housing.
